Riverdale Park
1 bag of jumbo oysters - Oysters as big as my hand! I like these people a lot. They're doing something they love, and are doing a great thing for the Bay.
5 peaches - It looks like the season is almost over. Woe. I quick pickled 2 of these on Thursday.
1 container of bimbop
2 truffles
1 bunch of sunflowers
1 pint of japaleno stuff olives - The pint was over stuffed with olives again, not that I'm complaining. These olives rock.

Dover sole - From Two Oceans It's a very mild fish, not oily at all. Since I'm use to salmon, I find it kinda bland, so next time, I'll try the sablefish.
1 Cherokee purple tomato - BLT for me!

More and more apples are starting to show up at the market, and I saw squash for the first time this season. Sadly, I couldn't find any onions at the market, which were something I really needed. Groffs had duck for sale today, and I was very tempted to buy one. However, I still have last week's chicken in the freezer. Never mind that I already have a frozen duck.
I went to a cat show after the market, and wasn't that a trip. I actually find most purebreed cats really freaky. They're like a lot of purebreed dogs, over bred to the point of freakish. However, cat shows have the best toys and usually the best treats. The treats this year sucked, so I didn't buy any. I did buy a nice selection of toys to get my cats high. The plush snake was a big hit, and was damp for a good while this afternoon.
I got a new cat tree, since my old one is falling to pieces. It is a big hit. It's such a big hit that Osiris won't let the Destroyer on it. George is terrified of it, but that's normal for George. |
